Espoma Organic Weed Preventer feeds lawns to ensure a deep green color and also prevents weeds by inhibiting root development in seedlings. Will not burn lawns. Prevents dandelions, crabgrass, and other common weeds. Organic, made from corn gluten meal. Covers up to 2,500 sq ft. Children and pets can play on lawn immediately after application.
For use on established lawns. Do NOT use when seeding a new lawn or over-seeding. Can be used in vegetable gardens and in and around bedding plants, roses, shrubs and trees with established root systems.
Weeds Controlled:
Black medic, black nightshade, buckhorn plantain, catchweed bedstraw, common lambsquaters, curly dock, dandelion, purslane, redroot pigweed, velvetleaf, annual bluegrass, barnyard grass, giant foxtail, green foxtail, large crabgrass, orchardgrass, quackgrass, shattercane, smooth crabgrass, wolly cupgrass, and yellow foxtail.
INGREDIENTS: Corn gluten meal.
USAGE: Apply 2 times per year: Early Spring before weed seeds germinate, and early Fall.
Application Rates: Water lightly after the application if rain is not expected within 24 hours.
Lawns:
Weed Preventer for lawns: 20 lb per 1,000 sq. ft.
Feeding lawns: 10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
Gardens:
Apply 2 lb (6 cups) per 100 sq. ft. or 20 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. For best results repeat every 4-6 weeks.
